MBABANE:Sicelo ‘KhungaNkhosi’ Dlamini, the Mayiwane Member of Parliament(MP) who recently moved a motion, demanding a salary increment for junior security officers is a former teacher and police officer.
After moving the motion seeking to increase salaries junior cops under Phase two(2),Dlamini has registered another motion for teachers in the Parliament Order Paper, he wants answers why qualified teachers are employed on contracts and paid peanuts.
The MP was a teacher at Nhlambeni Primary School and is alleged to have told his colleagues that, he “wants to start with the police and teachers because he fully understands their sufferings” based on experience.
“Could the Hon. Minister for Public Service explain to the Honorable House what informed the decision to place qualified contract teachers on B2 whereas they should be placed on C3, when is that abnormality going to be fixed as it has brought emotional stress to the teachers.The Honorable Minister must table the report within 7 days after the adoption of this motion by the House”, reads the Order Paper in part.
