No drugs and equipment for eye cancer patient Mbuso Mabuza of Mahwalala amid eSwatini collapsed health system, family appeals for assistance.

MBABANE:Mbuso Mabuza of Mahwalala in the outskirts of Mbabane, is one of the many emaSwati languishing at home with no assistance amid the collapsed health system.

Mabuza is suffering from eye cancer and his family approached this Swaziland News, seeking assistance to secure and fund medical bills outside the country.

Health Minister Mduduzi Matsebula had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Speaking to this publication, Bongiwe Mabuza, a sister to the eye cancer patient said her brother went to the Mbabane Government for an operation on Tuesday, but doctors recommended that after the operation,he must then do a radiation to prevent the eye from decaying.

“As we speak, we are at the Mbabane Government Hospital, after removing the turmo,doctors reccommedated that he must then do radiation and the public hospitals does not provide that service. We tried Phalala Fund but there’s no assistance. Our fear is that the eye might decay as the doctor said rediation is a must after the operation”, she said.

Eswatini is facing a health crisis, dozens have died since the crisis erupted.
