GAUTENG:Velaphi Mamba, the Treasurer General of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) has opened a criminal defamation case against individuals who implicated him in the murder of ex-warder Bheka Magagula, in what appeared to be a well-coordinated Tinkhundla sponsored social media campaign against the organization.
Mamba confirmed to this Swaziland News that, he opened the criminal case on Friday afternoon and named those who might be of special interest in the criminal defamation case.
The names of those who reported to the police are known to this publication but, cannot be revealed for ethical reasons.
“The case is about defamation of character and false accusations”, said the PUDEMO Treasurer General when confirming the matter.
The latest developments suggest that, those with evidence in the murder of the former warder will now be able to surrender themselves to the South African Police and assist even in the investigation of Bheka Magagula, who was assassinated this month.
PUDEMO, the eSwatini main and largest political party is facing what appears to be a well-coordinated State sponsored social media attack from alleged agents within the Mass Democratic Movement(MDM).
Mlungisi Makhanya, the PUDEMO President opened a separate case with the police as well, the political organization confirmed through a press statement.
