Veteran journalist and Channel yeMaswati Director Qhawe Mamba produced many journalists in the country who later shined in the industry, Justice Dlamini who died on Monday morning “is one of them”.
When chatting to Justice Dlamini, I used to tell him that, despite my close to twenty(20) years expirience as a journalist in the print and online media, I am still struggling with capturing quality videos like him and he used to say “nawe Mlangeni ngalapho ekubhaleni ngatsi utihambela wedvwa, Qhawe uhlale asigijimisa lana atsi siphi le-story lesi anikasitfoli njani ngoba Zwemart sewubhalile”.
Justice Dlamini had his own way of identifying human interest stories, some that made Channel S popular and indeed,some of us could not even match his capabilities and strength in gathering human interest stories.
But there was something very unique about Justice Dlamini, he was humble and had a huge network in Government and the journalism industry, he would interact with almost everyone.
We have lost a soldier in the journalism industry and, we send our condolences to his family, Channel S Director Qhawe Mamba and the Nation at large, Justice Dlamini is irreplaceable.
