MBABANE:Velaphi Mamba, the highly regarded eSwatini human rights defender, has blamed King Mswati for splashing over R1million to eSwatini students studying in Serbia while University of Eswatini(UNESWA) inside the country struggle.
This comes after this Swaziland News, quoting the State owned radio, reported that King Mswati allegedly presented eight thousand Rands(R8,000.00) each, to over one hundred(100) eSwatini, South African and Burundi students.
Speaking on his Visionary Perspective Program, Mamba said it was clear that, the King was not concerned with the current situation within UNESWA.
“Students in Serbia are not financially struggling and these are children of the elites. Why did the King splashed money in Serbia while a University here in eSwatini and its students struggle?”, he said.
