MBABANE:Owen Nxumalo, the Minister of Education and Training and Information Minister Savannah Maziya announced fifty(50) teachers who will participate in the specialized training under the Digital Educator Global Academy, supported by the United Arab Emirates(UAE), Government online platforms reported this week.
“Through this programme, educators from 20 High Schools and 30 Primary Schools from diverse backgrounds; including those from rural schools, young teachers, high performers, and differently-abled teachers, will gain advanced skills in digital technologies, e-learning methodologies, and AI tools. This initiative aligns with Eswatini’s “Government in Your Hand” agenda, focusing on bridging the digital divide and promoting innovation.The programme will run from 01 December, 2024, to 31 January, 2025, with certification from the Arizona University, empowering educators to return as digital champions for their schools and communities”, reads the Government online report.
