HHUKWINI:Saladin Magagula, the former Hhukwini Member of Parliament(MP) has confirmed that, a suspect who allegedly broke into his grocery shop was apprehended by Community Police.
Responding to this Swaziland News on Thursday evening, the former MP said, he opened a case with the Lobamba Police after his grocery shop was broken into and the suspect were subsequently apprehended by the Community Police.
“It’s true that, my grocery shop was broken into and the suspects were subsequently apprehended by the Community Police, you can verify with the Lobamba Police”, said the former MP.
Make LaKhumalo, a mother to the suspect identified as Scotland Khanyile confirmed to this publication that, her son was assaulted by the Community Police and was saved by the former MP who called the Lobamba Police.
“Usitwe nguMzala Saladin lokhandze bamshaya watsi akubitwe emaphoyisa ngabe siteka letinye”, said the mother to the alleged suspect when speaking to this publication on Thursday.
Efforts to reach Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
The suspect is currently in a critical condition at the Mbabane Government Hospital amid shortage of drugs in public hospitals.
