MBABANE: While the country is mourning the death of Prime Minister Ambrose Dlamini, police are looking for Sibongile Mazibuko, the President of the Ngwane National Liberatory Congress(NNLC) who criticised King Mswati’s on-going ritual ceremony.
Mazibuko received a call on Monday morning from Senior Superintendent Sikhumbuzo Fakudze, one of the torturing cops who ordered her to report to the police station at 2pm.
Reached for comments, the NNLC President confirmed that police were now looking for her, she said Fakudze invited her to a meeting at the Mbabane Police Station without disclosing the agenda of the said meeting.
“I won't go there, they must come and grab me here at home so that should anything happen to me, it would be known that it’s the police” said the NNLC President.
Superintendent Phindile Vilakati when asked by this publication why the police were looking for the NNLC President said, the police will let Mazibuko know about the purpose of the meeting once she arrives at the police station.
“I think the police will inform her about the purpose of the meeting once she arrives” said the Police Spokesperson.
In eSwatini political parties are banned, any criticism directed to the King and his government might attract sedition or treason charges.
