MBABANE:Sergeant Dumsile Khumalo, the Secretary General of the Royal Eswatini Police Staff Association(REPOSA) has summoned all junior police officers for a mass meeting this weekend to discuss among others, developments in the widely publicized salary increment under Phase two(2).
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Thursday evening,the REPOSA Secretary General said, she will first meet the National Commissioner to personally warn him not to try and stop the meeting as doing so, might result to a serious disorder or conflict.
“I will announce the venue later and we hope to be joined by Correctional Services officers. Before announcing the venue, I will meet the National Commissioner to try and warn him not to dare stop the meeting ngoba lamaphoyisa akwate kakhulu ayayifuna lemali yawo, kungasuka umsindvo lomkhulu,” said the Secretary General.
National Commissioner of Police Vusi Manoma Masango was not available for a comment.
Junior police officers are demanding their salary increment under Phase two(2), the tension is highly expected to escalate as Government refuses to release the money despite a directive from Parliament.
