Monday, 14th December, 2020

MBABANE: The People\'s United Democratic Movement ( PUDEMO) alleged that  Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini who died of  COVID-19 this week is the victim of King Mswati\'s government .

In a statement issued on Monday, Brian Sangweni,  the PUDEMO Spokesperson said government doesn\'t care about the people including those who serve it, but only the Royal Family.

\"To be precise the government he led under the command of King Mswati has claimed his life. The fact that he had to be transferred to a South African health facility is a result of government\'s failure to invest in health.Ambrose could not do it himself simply because he was a caricature that was acting on King Mswati\'s orders and investing in health is not in Mswati\'s mind because he does not care about them\", reads the statement in part .

But a statement issued by the Trade Union Congress of Swaziland ( TUCOSWA)  on Monday reveal that the Prime Minister believed in dialogue and his short stint as head of government has robbed us an opportunity to see his capabilities to help the government meet her social obligations .

\"Under his leadership, the government had accepted in principle that indeed there was a need for a National minimum wage .The Prime Minister  had shown direct interest in advocating for the betterment of terms and conditions of services within within the sectors in the close proximity of capital exploitation and those in precarious employment like the Textile and Security Industries\", reads the statement in part .
