MBABANE:Colani Hlatjwako,the Coordinator of One Billion Rising women rights advocacy organization has emphasized the importance of engaging the youth in mitigating and fighting Gender Based Violence(GBV).
Speaking during a press conference this week, the One Billion Rising Coordinator announced new partners that include youth organizations, these partners, she said, will work with One Billion Rising in amplifying the voices against GBV.
“As One Billion Rising we have realized that, cases of Gender Based Violence are escalating in eSwatini so every year we normally work on a specific theme. This year, we are rallying behind the youth to take the lead in fighting GBV”, said the One Billion Rising Coordinator.
Hlatjwako then named Summer Camp Sukuma, Eswatini Schools Arts and Culture Association, Sidla Ngalokudzala Cultural Group and Mbikwakhe Ekasi Stage as the new partners.
