MBABANE:Gift Mandlenkhosi Dlamini, the senior member of the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO and a suspected State agent, has re-located to Ireland at the time when the South African police are vigorously investigating his the death of the late former warder Bheka Magagula.
Dlamini was the first to inform the Nation through social media that, he “had information that will assist in apprehending the suspect who allegedly killed Bheka Magagula”. He claimed to have received a call from Magagula who said “he was being attacked by “tinja taMakhanya”.
As a result, Dlamini was highly expected to assist the South African police as the first person who was allegedly contacted by the deceased as per his claims.
Mlungisi Makhanya, the President of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) subsequently opened a defamation case after being consistently insulted by Gift Dlamini and a group of political leaders including SWALIMO President Mduduzi Magawugawu Simelane, who even after being informed to present the information to the South African police, if they have”, used social media to accuse Makhanya of killing Magagula.
Magawugawu is among those who escalated the claims through his social media program.
But Gift Dlamini subsequently travelled to Ireland this week and sources told this Swaziland News that, Makhanya wants to see the matter particularly, his criminal defamation case concluded.
In fact, the PUDEMO President who is linked to a wide network of Senior Advocates in South Africa, was vigorously preparing to drag all those who accused him in the matter to court hence Dlamini’s decision to flee to Ireland.
Some emaSwati living in Ireland has expressed serious concern amid allegations suggesting that, Dlamini “is working with the eSwatini Tinkhundla Government” and might have “deliberately lied to frame the PUDEMO President and other leaders so that, it could appear as if members of political parties are killing each other.
Makhanya was accused in the murder of Bheka Magagula shortly after surviving poison allegedly masterminded by the State, a self-confessed suspect Sifiso ‘Smallz’ Mahlangu, who allegedly poisoned Makhanya was quickly defended by other political leaders linked to Gift Dlamini who had since fled to Ireland.
Dlamini, the alleged State agent was not immediately available for a comment as all his cellphone numbers were not reachable.
Reached for comments by this Swaziland News on Thursday, Mlungisi Makhanya, the PUDEMO President said, even if Gift Dlamini could flee to Ireland, the South African police who are working on the death of Bheka Magagula and his defamation case, have all the powers to engage the International Police Criminal Police Organization(INTERPOL) to apprehend and bring him back to South Africa to assist the cops with information regarding the killing of Bheka Magagula.
The PUDEMO President said, he was not pushing this case only because he was falsely accused but, he “believes Bheka’s family deserves to know the truth”. He warned that if this matter could be ignored after all these serious accusations, others in the struggle for democracy might be killed by individuals who will then use their agents to run to social media campaigns and cloud the public opinion just to cover-up their alleged crimes.
“I am not surprised and it was not something that we can say was completely un-expected. The history of the character involved is a history of a habitual lier, everywhere, where Gift has manifested, you will find a trail of lies and concoctions. We, however think that if he, for a moment assume fleeing to Ireland is a victory for him, then he must know that we are pursuing, working with the South African law enforcement officers, the cases we opened against them. They have a duty to prove all the things that they were saying, we are also doing this because we believe Bheka’s family deserves to know the truth”, said the PUDEMO President.
On another note, Velaphi Mamba, the PUDEMO Treasurer General also opened a criminal defamation case against those who accused him of killing Bheka Magagula and, it seems the social media campaign to attack PUDEMO and tarnish other people’s images has gone wrong as the PUDEMO leaders “seem determined to pursue the case”.
Gift Mandlenkhosi Dlamini was seen at the airport accompanied by Bongnkhosi ‘IB’ Dlamini and while this Swaziland News was closely following his destination, emaSwati based in Ireland later confirmed that, “he has arrived in that country”.
One twin who was allegedly residing in South Africa illegally and insulting PUDEMO including King Mswati, was allegedly seen in eSwatini on Christmas Day.
It remains unclear if he also fled to eSwatini as this publication is in “possession of evidence that he was also contacted by the South African police”.
The investigation in the killing of Bheka Magagula is being intensified by the South African police and almost all those who claimed to have information have fled South Africa, some are in eSwatini but, this publication will be monitoring their whereabouts and report accordingly.
Gift Mandlenkhosi Dlamini is highly suspected to be working with the undemocratic Eswatini Tinkhundla Government, sources alleged that, the social media campaign was also meant to justify that, even human rights lawyer Thulani Maseko was not killed by the regime as members of ‘political parties are killing each other’.
But in the case of lawyer Thulani Maseko, international human rights organizations, the Government of the United States(US) and other world organizations, are demanding an international, independent and credible investigation.
