MBABANE:Gift Mandlenkhosi Dlamini, the leader of the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO) who fled to Ireland amid rape allegations will have his application for asylum investigated.
This is according to the rules for refugees in that country that emphasized on “honesty” when one applies for a refugee status.
This Swaziland News reported earlier on Saturday that,Dlamini was allegedly frequenting eSwatini where he claimed his life was in danger according to information sourced from the Ministry of Home Affairs Immigration system.
Dlamini’s passports including an international passport suggest that, he allegedly entered eSwatini a few months before escaping to Ireland after a stay in South Africa.
On another note, Dlamini fled to Ireland at the time when he was expected to assist the South African police with information after the death of Bheka Magagula, he escaped when challenged to provide evidence to assist in the investigation.
