MBABANE:A senior judicial employee says, Judicial Service Commission(JSC) might soon be announced by the King and that, Attorney General(AG) Sifiso Mashampu Khumalo won’t be appointed the Chief Justice.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Monday, the judicial employee thanked this journalist for providing balanced articles regarding the issues involving current Chief Justice Bheki Maphalala and the judiciary.
“Yati usisitile with your reporting nalokutsi uvete kutsi Mashampu besatifunela yena lesikhundla loko kwabonakala kutsi you don’t have an agenda against the current CJ but you just reporting. Besitawushonaphi tsine ngoba bekatasilahla phansi, bekatasilala sonkhe Mashampu lana nasifuna ema-promotion. Ngabe besitawushonaphi ngoba lomuntfu uvuka ekuguleni bekanabukeliswa ngakona lokulala nebafati bebantfu. Ugulile phela Mashampu hhayi kancane. I’ve been informed that the King is preparing to appoint the Judicial Service Commission(JSC) and things will soon be normal in the judiciary”, said the female judicial employee who holds a very senior position.
Attorney General Sifiso Khumalo who was sued in Zambia for allegedly sleeping with a married woman in that country and, is alleged to be abusing power doing the same in eSwatini, avoided questions from this Swaziland News.
On another note,King Mswati is highly expected to appoint the Judicial Service Commission, it remains to be seen if he will retain Bheki Maphalala or appoint a new Chief Justice.
