NKHANINI:Christopher Gamedze, the Finance Officer in the King’s Officer allegedly told Ingatja not to call him at night and demand his Incwala allowance(Imbasha).

Gamedze was called by Ingatja on Monday evening after this Swaziland News exposed how he allegedly colluded with King’s Office Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Mgwagwa Gamedze and other officers to steal part of the R33million King’s gift that was meant to benefit emaButfo.

As a result on Friday, hundreds of Ingatja invaded King Mswati’s Nkhanini Royal Offices to demand their Incwala allowances.

“Nibohlonipha majaha”, said the Finance Officer in the King’s Office when warning Ingatja not to call him at night.

Reached for comments by this Swaziland News on Monday afternoon, King Mswati’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane said, the aggrieved Ingatja approached the right Office at Nkhanini to communicate their grievances.

“We want to believe they were knocking on the right door.We are not aware of any other office better positioned to handle the matter. The rest of us are irrelevant,”said the King’s Spokesperson.

It has been disclosed that, the alleged fraudsters within the King’s Office, allegedly registered cellphone numbers for individuals who never participated in the Incwala ritual ceremony and,the money was then laundered through their mobile money.

This resulted to hundreds of emaSwati who were hoping to benefit from the King’s R33million gift being left out.

But some young boys who benefited from the King’s gift were seen buying uniform shoes and stationary before the opening of schools.

Corruption amid a culture of impunity, is rife in the public administration, those who work with the King are protected by the Monarchy from being prosecuted.
