MBABANE:A survey has indicated that, South African Minimum Wage earners are now struggling with food prices soaring above inflation, the Mail and Guardian reported on Sunday morning.
It has been reported that, National Minimum Wage earners are struggling to afford nutritious food to feed their families.
Reached for comments on Sunday afternoon, Wander Mkhonza, the Secretary General of the Amalgamated Trade Union Congress of Swaziland(ATUSWA) said eSwatini does not have a Minimum Wage, he then clarified that “the Government is demonstrating willingness to address the issue” these days.
“Eswatini does not have a Minimum Wage and the escalating costs of food and other basic commodities is affecting workers even here in eSwatini”, said the ATUSWA Secretary General.
