MBABANE:The United Nations(UN) Eswatini has partnered with Business Eswatini in hosting the upcoming Private Sector Senior-level Dialogue to develop the UN-Government Cooperation Framework for the 2026-2030 development agenda.
In an email sent to the editor of this Swaziland News Zweli Martin Dlamini by the Office of Resident Coordinator George Wachira, the UN Eswatini said,the event will take place next week Thursday at the Business Eswatini Offices-Mbabane.It seeks to, among others, enhance and expand Private Sector-UN engagement while focusing on the strategic priorities, outcomes, and outputs that will form or establish the foundation of the new Cooperation Framework(CF).
“This framework will serve as the primary strategic document guiding the UN’s collective efforts and development partnership with Eswatini, shaping the programmes of various UN agencies”, reads the email in part.
Reached for comments by this publication, Nathie Dlamini, the Business Eswatini Chief Executive Officer(CEO) confirmed the event saying “it will provide a unique opportunity to corporate leaders to contribute to the development of the UN Cooperation Framework, a strategic document that will guide the UN’s partnership with Eswatini”.
Dlamini said amid the transition to a green economy, corporate leaders will have the opportunity to directly influence the UN’s strategic direction and shape policies that will drive economic growth and innovation.
