King Mswati extends condolences after the death of former Namibian President Sam Nujoma.

MBABANE:King Mswati has extended deepest condolences to the People and Government of Namibia following the passing of former President His Excellency Sam Nujoma.

In an online statement released on Sunday, Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini expressed condolences on behalf of the King, Queen Mother and the Eswatini Nation, describing the former President as a hero whose contributions to the Namibia's struggle for independence, the establishment of democratic institutions and the growth of Namibia's post-colonial cohesion and national unity left an indelible mark on Namibia’s history. 

“He will be remembered as a leader of exceptional stature and a true patriot.We share in Nambia’s grief during this difficult time and offer our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family, the President, the Government, and the People of Namibia. May the memory of his service and leadership be a source of comfort and inspiration in the days ahead”, said the Prime Minister.
