MBABANE:Themba Ginindza,the Ludzidzini and Mbekelweni Indvuna has unleashed the police to members of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) who tried to stop him from constructing a home on grazing land.
Efforts to reach Ludzidzini Indvuna Themba Ginindza proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report while Police Spokesperson Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati declined to comment.
The PUDEMO members who are residents of the area were allegedly enforcing an order that was issued by the same Indvuna directing them to ensure that, no one construct a home on the grazing land.
“We reported to uMphakatsi that there were people constructing homes on the grazing land(emadlelweni) and Indvuna Themba Ginindza thanked and mandated us to patrol that area and ensure that, no one construct a home. Sesibona kunelibala nasibuta labantfu labagubhako batsi sekwakha Indvuna samangala kutsi yena sewakha njani emadlelweni kube kunguye lokhiphe order kutsi kungakhi muntfu. As we speak three(3) PUDEMO members have been arrested for stopping the people who constructing there. The police accused them of attacking Indvuna,” said one PUDEMO member who preferred to remain anonymous.
Penuel Malinga,the PUDEMO Secretary General confirmed the matter but referred comments to David Ndlovu,the Mbekelweni PUDEMO Branch Chairperson who told this publication later on Wednesday evening that, their members have been released.
“They were detained and later released after the intervention of our lawyer,” he said.
