MBABANE:Prince Majaha’s friend Njobo Nkosi who is not a civil servant, is allegedly occupying a Government house.

The house situated at Queen’s Gate in the capital city-Mbabane, was previously occupied by the then Government Spokesperson Percy Simelane and after his retirement, it was supposed to be occupied by Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo or any senior Government official.

Njobo Nkosi is part of the King’s delegation that traveled to Dubai-the United Arab Emirates(UAE) and Ethopia for the African Union(AU) Summit this week, he was allegedly included as a ‘spouse’ to Prince Majaha and will allegedly benefit about five hundred thousand Rands(R500,000.00) public funds as a traveling allowance.

It has been disclosed that, the house was allocated to Nkosi by Sipho Tsabedze, the dismissed Principal Secretary(PS) in the Ministry of Public Service, Tsabedze was dismissed for allegedly forging his birth certificate to avoid retirement.

Reached for comments by this Swaziland News on Saturday,Prince Majaha’s friend Njobo Nkosi denied that, the house was allocated to him.

“I don't know what you talking about I don't have a house at Queens Gate, Prince Majaha has a house there not me,” he said.

Dismissed Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Public Service Sipho Tsabedze declined to comment about the matter.

But a Principal Secretary who spoke to this Swaziland News on condition of anonymity confirmed that,houses are allocated by the Ministry of Public Service.

“Three Ministries are involved, the Ministry of Housing collects the data of Government houses and forward same to the Ministry of Public Service for allocation.The Ministry of Public Works and Transport is responsible for the maintenance of Government houses,” said the Principal Secretary.

Responding to this publication on Saturday, Bawinile Ndlovu, the President of the National Union of Public Service and Allied Workers Union(NAPSAWU) said,they will follow-up this matter and demand answers.

“We would like to thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and we will follow-it up and demand answers because civil servants are struggling without houses. It’s surprising therefore, to see a person who is not even a civil servant occupying a Government house just because that individual is a friend to a Prince”, said the NAPSAWU.
