Prime Minister ‘awards’ Parliament PAC member MP Bishop Bhekibandla Vilakati with a Belgium international trip for loyalty, to receive over R100,000.00 as a traveling allowance.

MBABANE:Ngwempisi Member of Parliament(MP) Bishop Bhekibandla Vilakati has been ‘awarded’ with an international trip that comes with a traveling allowance amounting to over one hundred thousand Rands(R100,000.00) merely for being loyal to Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini.

The PM travelled to Belgium-Brussels this week to attend the third(3rd) Annual Meeting of the Global Council for Political Renewal (GCPR), he then addressed the European Parliament on the Tinkhundla system of Governance.

MP Bhekibandla Vilakati who traveled with the PM is a member of the Public Accounts Committee(PAC), a Parliament accountability institution “that is investigating the PM amid the disappearance of over R210million public funds within the National Disaster Management Agency(NDMA) where the Prime Minister was the Chief Executive Officer(CEO).

Recently, this publication released an electronic recording where the PM was plotting to capture some of the MPs to be on his side, information subsequently emerged suggesting that, he will use the well-paying international trips to ‘bribe’ the Members of Parliament for political support.

Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo declined to comment.

But Wandile Dludlu, the Deputy President of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) told this Swaziland News earlier that, the ongoing capture of Parliament by the Prime Minister will undermine accountability and service delivery.
