MBABANE: Mduduzi ‘Magawugawu’ Simelane, the powerful, vocal and highly influential Member of Parliament(MP) has come out to clarify that he is not a property of the royal family and as a result, no one will dictate to him not to wear what has been portrayed as an exclusive royal coat.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Thursday after the Times of eSwatini published his picture wearing a coat portrayed as exclusively reserved for royalty, the Siphofaneni MP said the country must guard against allowing few individuals to own the copyright of thought such that they can even undermine every citizen right to think and decide what to wear.
“You paralyze freedom of thought and expression then you have paralyzed the development and future of any country. You cannot afford to have few individuals own the copyright of thought on behalf of a country. God created that the future of man lies in his thoughts and expressions” said the vocal MP when speaking to this Swaziland News.
On the another note, the MP released an online public statement where he advised the Nation to intensify the calls for freedom adding that citizens should differentiate between silence and peace.
“How long shall the journey be or our people to be liberated from fear?. Are we going to hand-over to generations to come a society that is traumatized? Are we going to hand-over a society that can not separate between fear and respect?. A society that can not separate between silence and peace?” said the vocal MP.
