MANZINI:Superintendent Thabo Hlophe who was leading a battalion of armed police officers, asked for a separate meeting when questioned and challenged by Executive members of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers to explain why meetings of the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO) are allowed to take place at SNAT Centre while cops are always unleashed to stop PUDEMO.
This was on Saturday inside the SNAT Centre premises, the police blocked members of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) from and entering the venue to hold a strategic meeting.
“Follow me so we can talk,” said the senior cop when asked to explain why SWALIMO meetings are always allowed while PUDEMO meetings are disrupted.
PUDEMO is eSwatini’s main and largest liberation movement fighting for democracy, a battalion of armed police officers were unleashed to stop the organization’s strategic meeting.
Superintendent Thabo Hlophe asked for a separate meeting to explain why SWALIMO meetings are always allowed at SNAT Centre while armed police are unleashed to stop PUDEMO.
