MANZINI:Moses Motsa, the Director of The George Hotel and a well-known businessman, is accused of killing his employee Andile Dlamini to avoid “injury on duty payment” under the Workmen’s Compensation.

It has been disclosed that, Dlamini who was working as an electrician at The George Hotel was electrocuted while on duty on Monday, the 17th February 2025 and became unconscious.
But Paramedics who arrived a few minutes later subsequently covered him with a blanket while the accident scene was tempered with, police sources told this publication.
Worth-noting, Motsa sent company Managers to Siteki, to formally report the death to Andile Dlamini’s family but surprisingly, the Managers were allegedly escorted by the police raising more suspicion regarding the death of The George Hotel employee.
“Was it even necessary for them to be escorted by the police when they arrived to report the death of Andile?”, one of the relatives wondered.
Businessman Moses Motsa declined to comment about the matter when reached by this publication.
But on Monday(3rd March 2025), this investigative journalist contacted The George Hotel reception, pretending to be a customer, asking about Andile’s death and the receptionist said, the electrician was buried on Saturday.
“Oh you are our customer from Pretoria?. Unfortunately, he was buried on Saturday,” said the receptionist.
Reached for comments by this Swaziland News, Mduduzi Gina, the Secretary General of the Trade Union Congress of Swaziland(TUCOSWA) urged the family to launch an independent investigation into the death of the employee.
“Kuyenteka vele kutsi umuntfu ashayiswe yimoto kodvwa angabulawa ngulemoto, kutfolakale kutsi utsite nasalele phansi kwachamuka umuntfu wamcedzisa. So in this case, the family must launch an independent investigation by engaging a pathologist to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of the employee. On the issue of the Workmen’s Compensation, the family is entitled to the compensation and it’s no-longer an injury on duty but, an alleged demise on duty and this means the employer will pay more money,” said the TUCOSWA Secretary General.
