MATSAMO:King Mswati visited the Driekoppies Dam on Monday and drove local tourists with a boat.
The King encouraged emaSwati living in the vicinity of the Dam to leverage the many opportunities presented by the Dam, Government online platforms reported.
“His Majesty listed mass production of fish, crocodile leather products, agriculture, agro-processing and tourism facilities as part of the projects emaSwati can explore to not only contribute to economic growth but also create job opportunities for themselves.The Driekoppies Dam is one of two projets under the Komati Basin Water Authority (KOBWA). KOBWA is a transboundary project established in 1993 through a Treaty on the Development and Utilization of the Water Resources of the KOMATI River Basin. The other dam is Maguga,” reads the online report.
