LOZITHA: King Mswati has applauded the Assemblies of God for spreading a message of love, hope and unity.

The King was speaking through his representative and Advisor Prince David during the Assemblies of God Mother’s Convention last week at Lozitha.

“The Assemblies of God has been steadfast in nurturing our spiritual growth, providing solace in times of sorrow, and celebrating our triumphs.Your dedication to spreading the message of love, hope, and unity has illuminated the hearts of many, serving as a guiding light in our communities”, said the King.

When recalling the history of the Assemblies of God,the King honored the legacy of Reverend Nicholas Bhengu, the founder of the church.

“Many years ago, Reverend Nicholas Bhengu the founder of the Assemblies of God, travelled to Eswatini as a missionary to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord. When King Sobhuza II heard about Reverend Bhengu’s preaching, he invited him to have a service here at Lozitha. It was then that the annual services started, and the Royal Family has always been in attendance to worship God with the rest of the nation. In recognition of the work of God here at Eswatini, the Assemblies of God headquarters at Thaba Nchu, in honour of the local Assemblies gave a gift of a shield to King Sobhuza II, which he interpreted as a sign for peace and protection for the Nation,” he said.
