MBABANE:United States(US) President Donald Trump has defended his decision to halt donor funding to Africa and other countries.
Addressing the Congress this week, the US President made an example about Lesotho where he said $8million(about R144million) American money supports the Lesbian,Gays, Bisexual,Transgender, and Queer(LGBTQ), he wondered if there’s a country called Lesotho.
Eswatini, a tiny Kingdom situated in Southern Africa and ruled by King Mswati as an absolute Monarch, was also affected by the United States President’s decision to stop donor funding.
The United States Agency for International Development(USAID) recently cancelled eSwatini’s donor funding amounting to R1.3billon and this, resulted to job losses after various Non Governmental Organizations(NGOs) shutdown amid scarcity of resources or funding.
