MBABANE:Jim O’Callaghan,the Irish Minister of Justice, Home Affairs and Immigration says the new visa requirements enable the investigation and/or screening of those seeking to travel to Ireland to ensure legitimacy.
The decision to ban the easy travel to Ireland and introduce visa restrictions, comes amid influx of emaSwati traveling to Ireland through alleged fraudulent means.
“Applying for a visa is a screening mechanism to ensure we are facilitating legitimate travel,” said the Justice Minister through a statement.
