Suspended SwaziMed Chief Executive Officer(CEO) intensifies alleged looting, approves over R100,000.00 for State captured journalists to positively report about medical scheme amid allegations of corruption.

MBABANE:Peter ‘Samora’ Simelane, the suspended SwaziMed Chief Executive Officer(CEO) has approved over one hundred thousand Rands(R100,000.00) to be paid to journalists and media houses to report positively about the medical scheme.

The captured journalists are highly expected to start promoting SwaziMed in an attempt to shape the public opinion through a press statement to be released on Sunday, and run at least the next three(3) days.

The suspended CEO declined to comment about the matter, he stands accused of looting millions of public funds.

SwaziMed is on the verge of collapse as some local and South African private hospitals are no-longer accepting patients with SwaziMed Medical Aid, the medical scheme is reportly struggling to pay doctors despite collecting millions from the public.

This resulted to emaSwati struggling to access quality healthcare despite paying their Medical Aid amid the ongoing rampant looting.

It has been disclosed that, despite being placed on suspension, Simelane is allegedly controlling the staff at SwaziMed and the press statement was released as per his directive.

In the press statement seen by this Swaziland News, the CEO “assured members of SwaziMed that, the Fund is financially stable”.
