NOKWANE: King Mswati has applauded the establishment of an army factory, that manufactures uniform for soldiers while urging the Commanders to consider expanding and trading with the United States(US) through the African Growth and Opportunity Act(AGOA).
The King was speaking at Nokwane Army Headquarters on Friday when touring the ka-Gcina army factory, he applauded the army for manufacturing it’s own uniform adding that, the project must grow and supply other countries including the US.
“You are doing a great job and it must not end with the army uniform, you must consider commercializing and supply boutiques so that, the army’s budget could increase and be self-sustainable,” he said.
The King said, supplying the US through AGOA could help in increasing the army budget and ensuring that,part of the budget revenue is generated within the army.
Defense Principal Secretary Prince Sicalo, Chief Officer Prince Hlangabeza and Army Commander Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze were among the high profile people who were with the King during the tour of the factory.
