SwaziMed Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Peter ‘Samora’ Simelane sentenced to sixty(60) days in prison by Judge Titus Mlangeni, R30,000.00 fine for contempt of court in Eswatini Bank Medical Aid case.

MBABANE:Judge Titus Mlangeni has sentenced SwaziMed Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Peter ‘Samora’ Simelane to sixty(60) days in prison for contempt of court.

The Judge suspended thirty(30) days and gave Simelane an option to pay thirty thousand Rands(R30,000.00) fine while EswatiniMed, as an organization or legal persona, was fined one hundred thousand Rands(100,000.00).

Simelane was found guilty of defying a court order directing him not to stop Medical Aid for Eswatini Bank employees, he was sentenced on Monday and will be released after paying the fine.
