MBABANE: The Institute for Peace and Security Studies Addis Ababa University has released a report, applauding the Swaziland News as the leading online publication that provides independent and impartial news in eSwatini.

The University through the report, said Swaziland News has, over the years maintained credibility in providing accurate and credible news particularly regarding the Monarchy’s influence on the country’s governance and economy.

“Over the last two years, online media gained popularity, in particular Swaziland News, which is registered in South Africa and whose editor is a Swazi. This is the first online paper whose explicit mission is “to provide accurate information that will enable citizens to make informed decisions regarding issues that affect their welfare, be it political, socially, economically or otherwise. Since inception, the newspaper as reported on the Monarchy’s influence on the country’s governance and economy,” reads the report in part.
