National Commissioner confirms his son Sandile Masango who was driving under the influence of alcohol damaged royal escort in an accident, says matter handled by Mbabane Police.

MBABANE:Vusi Manoma Masango, the National Commissioner of Police has demonstrated transparency and accountability by confirming that, his son Sandile Masango was forced to account to the law by negligently driving a royal escort under the influence of alcohol, resulting to an accident.

Responding to this Swaziland News on Tuesday morning,the National Commissioner confirmed knowledge of the matter, adding that it was handled by the Mbabane Police.

The Police Chief urged this journalist to contact the Central Transport Administration(CTA) and find out more what happened thereafter to Sandile Masango and this, was after this publication sent a picture of the damaged State royal car to the National Commissioner seeking clarification if he was aware of the matter.

“I’m aware of the accident,it happened last year and was handled by Mbabane police.For more information please contact the Mbabane traffic department or CTA Nkhosi”, said the Police National Commissioner.

Efforts to reach police officer Sandile Masango proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.

Sandile Masango is alleged to have grabbed the car at the Police Academy under the influence of alcohol and, without being authorized, drove at a high speed resulting to the accident.
