MBABANE: Mfankhona Nkambule is allegedly among journalists and editors vying for the vacant Government Spokesperson position, he now accusing editor Zweli Martin Dlamini of being a terrorist who funded the election of the current Executive Committee members of the Eswatini National Association of Journalists(ENAJ).

Nkambule is alleged to have sent a message to a senior Government official in Cabinet including a message he posted on Journalists WhatsApp Group, pledging to deliver and take on ‘Zwemart’ if appointed as a Government Spokesperson, accusing Dlamini of undermining the authority of the King.

Worth-noting, arrested Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo was also vocal against the editor even on international TV and radio stations, Nxumalo had vowed that, before he leaves office, the editor would be behind bars on terrorism charges.

But Alpheous Nxumalo was recently arrested and charged for rape, he allegedly raped his Pastor friend’s children without using a condom.

On the other hand, Nkambule is vying to replace Nxumalo accuses the Executive Committee of failing to take on Zwemart.

“The Executive Committee of the Journalists Association is loyal to Zwemart, they are actually worshiping and idolizing him as the god of journalism yet he is not, he is a terrorist and the worse thing to have ever happened to this profession. So nyalo loku sekuhambe Alpheous utawujangaza Zwemart kani mine ngingamkhona uyedzelela lomfana Inkhosi akayati nekutsi iyini,” said the Times journalist in a message sent to the senior Government official.

Nkambule further told the Government official that, he was not happy with the salary offer made to him by the new Times Management, adding that, he can only continue working if there’s no alternative.

Nkambule was the last journalist to seek a comment from Alpheous Nxumalo before his arrest, he subsequently ‘exploded’ after being asked why he sourced stories from Swaziland News without following journalism ethics.

This was after Nkambule made a follow-up and interviewed Velaphi Mamba, the leader of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) on information he shared on his Swaziland News Visionary Perspective Program.

But despite sourcing the information there, Nkambule avoided to mention where he sourced the information avoiding to cite what he labelled as a “terrorist publication”.

Hundred of stories were sourced by Nkambule, the Times and Observer from Swaziland News and re-published in the past five(5) years, the aspiring Government Spokesperson further wrote analysis based on information obtained from the Swaziland News but would avoid, to mention where he sourced the information.
