MBABANE:HisExcellency Lin Chia-Lung, the Taiwan Minister of Foreign Affairs is highly expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with Government on “Countering of Information Manipulation”.
Intelligence information leaked to this publication suggests that,Taiwan believes Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini is pro-China hence the need to strengthen the countering of information published by this online publication.
Efforts to seek a comment from Taiwan Ambassador Jeremy Liang proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
Even though other details of the proposed MoU to be signed by the Government and Taiwan cannot be revealed for now, it is alleged that Taiwan does not take kindly to the editor’s consistent reference of the island as part of China.
The Taiwan Ambassador has been working with Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini in an effort to develop strategies seeking to counter information published by the Swaziland News, the agreement is highly expected to be signed next week
