BEIJING:Zweli Martin Dlamini, the editor of this Swaziland News addressed the Seminar for Young leaders of Journalists Organizations held in Beijing-China on Monday, he appealed to President Xi Jinping and the Chinese Government to remember the financial struggling emaSwati for scholarships and other opportunities that exist in China as a developed country.
Dlamini said, emaSwati are very intelligent but, live under an environment that does not allow them to shine and be successful hence the need to facilitate international opportunities like scholarships to assist them achieve their goals.
The editor applauded the Government of China for facilitating the training for editors and emphasized the importance of strengthening the diplomatic relations that already exist between China and the African continent for the benefit of both the Chinese people and Africans.
On another note, eSwatini is the only country in Africa with no diplomatic relations with China and this, has resulted to some emaSwati struggling to obtain visas to travel to China even for business opportunities as King Mswati’s Tinkhundla regime maintains diplomatic relations with Taiwan, a Chinese Province.
Dlamini travelled to various Provinces and cities in China as part of the training, this included the Nanchang city next to the Taiwan Province.
