MBABANE:King Mswati is a victim of lies with those around him using his name to destroy others and further push their selfish agendas, his Spokesperson Percy Simelane told this Swaziland News on Sunday morning.
Responding to this publication when asked to clarify “why the King is complaining with lies these days when addressing the Nation”, the Spokesperson said, King Mswati has been consistently mislead by people he trusts.
“He did not elaborate and he would therefore be difficult to know which lies he was basing his comment on.From where we stand however, Eswatini seems to be home to more than its share of lies, particularly around the King. True, some people use his name to threaten others or get what they selfishly want only to find that he is not involved and does not know a thing about the issues on the table,” he said.
The King’s Spokesperson further clarified that, “misleading the King is part of lies” whether done purposely or ignorantly.
“We believe misleading is part of lies whether done purposely or ignorantly. We have no reasons to believe misleading the King is merely advising him wrongly and not lies,” said the King’s Spokesperson.
