MBABANE: Philip Hewitt, the New Zealand Ambassador to the Republic of South Africa has a courtesy call with Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini on Monday afternoon.
The Ambassador promised to explore possibilities in support of the Swaziland News through the New Zealand Embassy.
Swaziland News is eSwatini’s leading and independent online publication recognized by the international community for providing credible news about the tiny Kingdom but, the editor is being persecuted by the ruling Tinkhundla undemocratic regime.
New Zealand has been supporting media freedom projects in South Africa, the Swaziland News, a member of the Press Council, is also registered in South Africa due to media freedom restrictions in eSwatini.
