MBABANE:Manqoba Nxumalo, the editor of The Swazi Bridge is currently ‘on the run’ and avoiding to account before the court of law, prove and provide evidence of an alleged false article he published about the Farmers Bank(Pty) Ltd.

Efforts to reach The Swazi Bridge editor proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report as he is reportedly avoiding calls.

The bank took Nxumalo to court for alleged defamation, a few months after the online lost a lawsuit against Dennis Mbingo, the then Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the First National Bank(FNB) Eswatini.

In the same CEO Dennis Mbingo matter, Nxumalo wrote an article accusing Mbingo of having sexual relationships with FNB Eswatini staff but, failed to provide evidence in court when challenged to prove the allegations resulting to the court issuing a default judgement.

“We communicated and then he blocked me when I was about to deliver the court papers. So now I have to trace his place of residence,” said the Deputy Sheriff.

It remains unknown why “The Swazi Bridge is now avoiding to prove the Farmers Bank allegations before the court of law”.

John Pierre Asfar, the Director of the Farmers Bank is demanding an extra R20million in his personal capacity from the online publication and editor Manqoba Nxumalo.
