EZULWINI:Dr. Phil Mnisi, the Governor of the Central Bank of Eswatini(CBE) has urged banks to provide affordable services to the people to promote financial inclusion.
Financial inclusion means that individuals and businesses have access to and use affordable financial products and services that meet their needs.
This includes bank accounts, loans, insurance, and other financial services, financial inclusion aims to ensure everyone can participate in the formal financial system, regardless of their socio-economic status or location.
Mnisi was speaking on Monday during the Financial Inclusion Symposium which was held at the bank’s Complex in Ezulwini on Monday, he said banks and other financial institutions have a role to play in developing products and services that are responsive, affordable and relevant to the needs of people.
Dr. Alfred Hannig, the Chief Executive Officer of Alliance For Financial Inclusion, was also present during the event.
