With equal access to business and job opportunities under the new democratic dispensation, all emaSwati will work in order to earn a living.
The scramble to loot public resources perpetrated by individuals who feel, just because they are royalty or their parents were wearing ‘emagwalagwala’, then they must steal, should be discouraged and further be dealt with in accordance with the criminal laws of this country.
As the situation stands, the country is struggling with a health crisis amid shortage of drugs in public hospitals, schools are struggling amid scarcity of teachers and working equipment.
But apart from the above mentioned socio-economic challenges, eSwatini is struggling to digitalize, millions of public funds allocated to technologically development this country through the Royal Science and Technology Park(RSTP) were allegedly looted by Prince Vumile, Prince Khetsimphilo who is now owning various properties and, other members of a powerful corrupt royal syndicate allegedly linked to SwaziPharm Director Kareem Ashraff.
Now, these individuals are busy fighting Information Minister Savannah Maziya for commissioning a forensic investigation into allegations of fraud and corruption within the Technology Park, they think their proximity to royalty “is a license to steal taxpayers money and collapse this country”.
King Mswati must know that, we won’t tolerate these alleged royal thieves, we are aware that, some of these thieves steal public funds and then share the monies with him through “kwetfula”.
As a result, when they feel their corrupt interests are being threatened, they run to King Mswati for protection, the King must prove his innocence by not interfering in the investigation and the subsequent prosecution of these thieves.
The investigation within the Technology Park is of vital public interest, it must continue and we want to see arrests not only in connection with the looting at RSTP but, even within the Ministry of Health amid shortage of drugs in public hospitals.
Members of the royal family must know that, this country is not their personal property, everyone must work to earn a living.
We can’t have a country where certain individuals will steal just because they are royalty, collapse State institution and then, run to the King when challenged to account for public funds.
