MBABANE:Sergeant Dumsile Khumalo, the Secretary General of the Royal Eswatini Police Staff Association(REPOSA) has confirmed that, she “has been sidelined” and prevented from attending the salary talks with consultants.
“It’s true, I have been sidelined”, the REPOSA Secretary General told this Swaziland News on Monday evening.
The meeting organized by the Ministry of Public Service will take place at Thokoza Conference Centre-Mbabane on Tuesday, representatives of Correctional Services officers were also invited.
“The Ministry of Public Service invites your Office to a meeting with the consultants undertaking the salary review exercise, scheduled for Tuesday 27th May 2025, 1200hrs, at Thokoza Conference Centre”, reads a memo in part, signed by Bathandwa Hlatjwako, the Acting Principal Secretary.
Efforts to seek a comment from the Acting PS proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
On another note, Sergeant Khumalo who has been vigorously representing the junior police in demand for their salary increment under Phase two(II) has been prevented from attending the meeting, the police will be represented by retiring Isaac Lukhele who was recently blasted by Pigg’s Peak cop Busta Vilakati for ‘selling out’ junior police officers.
