MBABANE:Thembinkhosi Nhlengetfwa was assaulted by the Lobamba Police for allegedly cheating on his wife Phindile Magagula.
The wife reported Nhlengetfwa to the police after discovering that her husband was cheating with Thandiwe Dlamini of Lobamba,the incident happened two(2) weeks ago.
But upon arrival at the Police Station, the police assaulted Nhlengetfwa, he was subsequently detained without charge and, the police told him that, he was being detained just to discipline him merely for disrespecting them as the wife did not open a case.
This comes after the wife told the police that her husband did not assault him but,he approached the cops merely for advice as Nhlengetfwa was stressing him by cheating.
Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati,the Police Spokesperson declined to comment about the matter, hundreds of emaSwati have died at the hands of the police, the police normally assault citizens with impunity.
The police normally claim emaSwati who died during such assaults, committed suicide while in police custody.
