PHOCWENI:Army Commander Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze was caught stealing petrol and diesel at Phocweni Barracks, a few days before the Army Day graced by King Mswati.
It has been disclosed that, the Army Commander was with his transport officer Lieutenant Sibusani Maseko when stealing the diesel in the early hours around 5am, according to photographic evidence in our possession.
But before stealing the diesel, the Army Commander is alleged to have said he “was not sure whether the King will appoint a new Army Commander or renew his contract during the recent Army Day hence he wants to have enough fuel at home”, Mashikilisane has reached the retirement age.
A questionnaire was sent to the Army Commander however, he had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
On another note, evidence in our possession suggests that, Lieutenant Sibusani Maseko whose car was caught at the crime scene ‘covering’ another car that was loading the fuel, “is the same army official who was working for the Army Commander when collecting cattle from members of the public as bribes”.
Pictures show fuel pumps in another car allegedly covered by Lieutenant Maseko’s car but, when all this happened, the Army Commander was allegedly hiding or parking nearby.
But the Army Commander was recently exposed by this Swaziland News for owning over two hundred(200) cattle worth R3million.
The cattle, some currently kept at Mbutfu Army Barracks, are allegedly proceeds of corruption and/or bribery paid by members of the public seeking employment in the army and officials who were paying for promotions.
