MBABANE:Apostle Vusi Vilakati has divorced his wife Sergeant Dumsile Khumalo, the Secretary General of the Royal Eswatini Police Staff Association(REPOSA).
It has been disclosed that, Vilakati allegedly held a secret meeting with the Police Executive Command at the Police Headquarters. He was asked to convince Sergeant Khumalo to stop being active in demanding the salary increment for junior police officers under Phase two(II) as by so doing, she was challenging the authority of the King.
But after engaging his wife, Sergeant Khumalo became angry and subsequently left the Apostle to stay at the Malkerns Police Camp, she felt her husband was beginning to be a serious threat to her life by holding meetings with the Executive Command that abducted and tortured her.
Sergeant Khumalo is alleged to have asked her husband why he was interfering with her work and passion to fight for the welfare of other police officers.
The REPOSA Secretary General is alleged to have further asked if the Apostle could leave preaching and look for a job if as a wife, she were to demand that.
The divorce was filed in court at the time when Sergeant Khumalo was being abducted by senior police officers for demanding a salary increment.
