MBABANE:The Johnson family who was evicted by editor Zweli Martin Dlamini from his grandfather’s land has apologized saying, they were mislead by one Sidumo Hlophe who walked away with over one hundred thousand Rands(R100,000.00) after selling the land at LaMgabhi eTiyeni.

This comes after the editor ordered the burning of all structures belonging to the Johnson family and subsequently evicted them from “emasimini”, the family was allocated land inside former Deputy National President Prince Mgungu’s homestead who died in 2019.

The Johnson family visited the editor’s father this week to produce evidence and proof of payment, they then expressed “kuvalelisa” saying they will take legal action against the person who took their money.

On another note, editor warned against the allocation of land inside the premises and territory of his grandfather.

“My grandfather’s land is not for sale  he told me before he died that I must protect and allocate it to all his children and grandchildren regardless of gender and including bantfwana betintfombi. So I’m doing just that,” said the editor.

The editor warned people not to buy his grandfather’s land from the uMphakatsi thieves because he will definitely send people to destroy the structures and evict them.

On another note, the editor said he will also deal with the uMphakatsi thieves who sold his grandfather’s land so that they can know “kutsi likhaya lemuntfu lomdzala liyahlonishwa”.
