Friday, 20th December, 2019

MBABANE: Sibongile Mazibuko, the President of the Ngwane National Liberation Congress(NNLC) is currently hiding in her bedroom after a batallion of police officers broke into her house at Sidwashini in Mbabane this morning seeking to arrest her.

This comes after King Mswati allegedly issued a decree for the arrest of pro-democracy activists in the country particularly leaders of the Political Parties Assembly(PPA).

Speaking to this Swaziland News while hiding in her bedroom, the NNLC President confirmed that police arrived with two cars and forcefully broke the main door, that was when she rushed to hide in the bedroom.

“As you can hear the sounds, they are now trying to break the other door to gain entry into my bedroom, they have damaged my gate and everything” she said.

As this journalist was busy with Mazibuko’s matter, sources alleged that Wandile Dludlu, the Secretary General of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) was also under siege by another battalion of royal police. Efforts to reach Dludlu was unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report but information will be available as the story develops.
