MBABANE:Times Weekend editor who doubles as a soldier Mfankhona Nkambule has urged South Africa to consider arresting Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini if the Republic wants eSwatini to repatriate the deported United States(US) criminals.
Mfankhona Nkambule is among other alleged members of the State security forces who work as State spies, others include Kimberly Mavuso(soldier) and Phesheya Sibiya(police) who work for Channel S TV.
Writing in his weekly column on Saturday, Nkambule said, South Africa should not complain about the US deported criminals while harboring criminals who are more dangerous like Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.
Nkambule has been writing articles since 2020, calling for the arrest of the Swaziland News editor accusing him of committing crimes in eSwatini before escaping to South Africa.
On another note, the Mpumalanga High Court dismissed Government application seeking to declare that, the editor committed acts of terrorism, the Government wanted the court to declare that Dlamini committed terrorism by reporting about activities of the pro-democracy Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF).
Furthermore, the Government was seeking to silence the publication by demanding ten(10) or seven days before responding to questionnaires.
But the editor through his Advocates successfully opposed the application saying it was a systematic way by the Government to delay the publication of news and shutdown the independent online publication.
The Attorney General(AG) Sifiso Khumalo tried to file a request seeking to have the editor arrested and extradited but, the request was rejected by the South African Government.
Nkambule urged the South African Government to consider approving the arrest and extradition of the Swaziland News editor to demonstrate commitment to regional security not to just express concern about the US deported criminals.
